If we say that zarzuela is Spanish light opera with spoken dialogue we shall be near the mark. Gerónimo Giméniz is a Sevillan composer of many Zarzuela’s. The short temperamental aria ‘Zapatuedo’ is from his zarzuela ‘La tempranica’.
