The song “Ich gehör nur mir” is without doubt the highlight of the musical “Elisabeth”.

The story of the modern and self-conscious empress Elisabeth (Sissi) and her destiny formed by courtly dictates inspired Michael Kunze (Lyrics) and Sylvester Levay (Music) to a moving musical. The often awarded show adds a tragic part to the romantic image of the Sissi movies from the 1950’s.

After its world premier in Vienna, the musical “Elisabeth” conquered the heards of millions of people in Germany, Hungary, Sweden, the Netherlands and Japan and quickly became the most successfull German-speaking musical.
