Alpine Overture takes its inspiration from the rugged and beautiful mountain ranges of the state of Washington. A majestic opening provides an accurate backdrop for the rugged peaks. A smooth transition leads to the contrasting Andante which depicts the peaceful mountain meadows in a lovely, flowing style. Then, a dramatic return to the main theme brings Alpine Overture to a brilliant close!
