Een adagio is een langzaam muziekstuk, iets sneller dan een largo, maar iets trager dan een andante. Heel wat componisten schreven adagio’s, maar het meest beroemde is ongetwijfeld het Adagio in G klein van Tomaso Albinoni (Venetië, 1671 – 1750)
