The trumpet player Herbert “Herb” Alpert created some big instrumental hits, particularly during the 1960’s. The unmistakable sound of hsi band Tijuana Brass combined traditional Mexican elements with jazz and funk. Arranger Steve McMillan chose Alpert’s hits A Taste of Honey, Spanish Flea, Tijuana Taxi and So What’s New for this marvelous medley “Herb Alpert Golden Hits”.
