As a musical expression, this piece was written to capture the fury and power of a raging inferno. It builds in intensity with a thematic climax that brings all 5 motifs together. The ending features a subito p in all instruments followed by a forceful crescendo providing an exciting close to this powerful band composition. (Grade 1.5)
