Stephen L. Melillo dedicates his life to his own philosophy, which he calls “Stormworld”. His works deal with the contrast between good and evil – between sorrow, darkness, threat and war on the one hand and salvation, light, freedom and peace on the other hand. The main duty of any artist is to bring good and beauty to a bad and ugly world. Stephen L. Melillo works with elements from jazz and integrates aspects from mathematics and physics into his music. For instance, he uses knowledge of the harmony of the spheres, which relies on the proportional distances between the planets, and other number symbolisms. Johann Sebastian Bach was one of the most important composers who combined music with mathematics. Stephen L. Melillo admires the baroque genius and dedicates this piece of music to him. FOR THE LOVE OF JOHANN is based on a theme by J.S.Bach.
