In this 100th anniversary year of Duke Ellington’s birth, we thought it was fitting to re-introduce one of the absolute best arrangements of Ellington’s music ever written. This medley by Sammy Nestico was published in 1970 and proves that some things improve with age. Skillfully woven together are the Ellington favorites In a Sentimental Mood, Mood Indigo, and It Don’t Mean a Thing.
