La Traviata tells the story of the young and beautiful courtesan Violetta who falls in love with Alfredo, an ordinary and poor young man.She leaves her luxurious live for him and finally offers her love for the sake of the future of Alfredo’s family.The aria ‘De’ miei bollenti spiriti’ is sung by Alfredo at the beginning of the second act. He and Violetta have settled in a country villa not far from Paris. Alfredo sings of his new happy existence: de’ miei bollenti spiriti, my turbulent sprits.
